Multiple Occupancy

 

A presence of two or more sets of coordinates for the same atom/residue in the PDB file is due to the experimental electron density map interpretation, where electron density can be observed in different space positions for certain atoms.

: pop-up area will show the position (sequence number and amino acid three letter code) for selected amino acid and the ratio of the occupancy by each of the identified space positions for given amino acid.
