InTernal Contacts (ITC)

InTernal Contacts - Interatomic contacts among residues belonging to the same protein chain.

Placing the cursor above this element: pop-up area will show the summary of "ITC" data for this particular amino acid.
Left mouse click: no action
Right mouse click: on any of the "ITC" will generate following menu and actions:

Figure below is showing specific position for the row with the "ITC" data in JPD presentation.

A) Graphical Contacts will call GC component of BLUE STAR STING (see HELP on GC):

B) Java Contacts Table will call JTC component of BLUE STAR STING (see HELP on JTC):

C) You need to experiment by yourself to find out what "live" JPD picture will show if "Map Contacts on Sequence is clicked!" Observe flashing contact bars at residues with which selected residue is making Contacts. Note: flashing will only occur within the same chain (as we are showing Internal Contacts).

D) Show Internal Contacts will select only the amino acids engaging in Internal contacts with the selected residue. Note: a resulting selection will show residues belonging to the same chain, A chain in this case, as the selected residue).
